Kami Shi-rudo

  1. Right Fist-to-Left Knifehand Bow from Musubi Tachi. Move left foot to Yoi Tachi.
  2. Turn to the left by moving your left foot forward into a Han-Zen Stance facing west and execute a Left Knife Hand Block with the right hand palm up across the solar plexus. This is simply a guarding position.
  3. Extending forward and diagonally into a Left Foot Forward Front Stance facing west, execute an Open Handed Side X-Block (left hand high, right hand low) + Left Upper Back Fist + Right Fist Middle Reverse Side Thrust + Keyii. This is a defense against an attacker positioned in an Open Stance Configuration (right foot forward, left foot back) who executed a back leg (left foot) Round Kick against you. The Side X-Block neutralizes the kick and leaves you in an excellent position to execute a Left Hand Back Fist to your opponent's head.
  4. Turn to the right 1/2 turn by pivoting on your left foot and moving your right foot into a Right Foot Forward Han-Zen facing east and execute a Right Knife Hand Block with the left hand palm up across the solar plexus. This is simply a guarding position.
  5. Extending forward and diagonally to your right into a Right Foot Forward Front Stance facing east, execute an Open Handed Side X-Block (right hand high, left hand low) + Right Upper Back Fist + Left Fist Middle Reverse Side Thrust + Keyii. This is a defense against an attacker positioned in an Open Stance Configuration (left foot forward, right foot back) who executed a back leg (right foot) Round Kick against you. The Side X-Block neutralizes the kick and leaves you in an excellent position to execute a Right Hand Back Fist to your opponent's head.
  6. Pivot 1/4 turn counterclockwise by slightly moving your left foot to the right into a north facing Han-Zen and execute a Left Knife Hand Block with the right hand palm up across the solar plexus. This is simply a guarding position.
  7. Extending forward with the left foot into a left foot forward front stance, execute a Left Vertical Fist Upper Jab + Right Fist Reverse Side Upper Thrust, followed by a Right Roundhouse Upper Instep Kick, putting your right foot down forward (north) into a north facing Right Foot Forward Hanzen. This was an attack against an opponent who was standing in an open stance (right foot forward) facing you.
  8. This turns you 3/4 turn counterclockwise and you should end in a Left Foot Forward Han-Zen facing east. This was an attack against an opponent who was standing in an open stance (right foot forward) facing you, and is also used to turn you to face an opponent from your right (the east).
  10. Extending forward and diagonally to your left into a Left Foot Forward Front Stance facing east, execute an Open Handed Side X-Block (right hand high, left hand low) + Left Lower Inner Knife Hand Groin Strike + Right Fist Upper Strike with Keyii.
